Cupcake Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2009 – Crisp, Light, Refreshing, Dry white wine with medium acidity, medium -light body, and typical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc  aromas of grapefruit, grass, and lemon, but not overpowering grassiness on the palate.

Pater Toscana Sangiovese 2008 –  Medium body dry red with big Tuscan fruit aroma and flavors of plum and strawberry!   Tannin is noticeable in this wine, but is softened by the 3 month wood aging. The finish is clean, lasting and makes you want to go back for another sip!

Brigaldara Valpolicella 2007 – This superb style of wine is made from Rondinella, Molinara, and Corvina grapes. This example adds Sangiovese to the mix.   This Classic Valpolicella is light- to medium-bodied, with a bright ruby red color.  Fragrant with hints of baking spices and fresh red fruits in the aromas, the wine literally sings with ripe juiciness.  Super soft tannins add silkiness to the mouthfeel. Stainless steel vinification and aging (6 months) and minimal handling preserve the unique and flavors of the grapes.

Skyleaf Waipara Riesling 2009 – Medium body with excellent Riesling fruit flavors of apricot and pear, and a dry, crisp refreshing finish.  This wine seems like it will age well, and for the price seems like the best value of the day!
