DOMAINE DU PERE CABOCHE ROSE 2010
Vin de Pays de Vaucluse, France
Greetings Notable Wine-ers,
The history of this great domain dates back to
the 17th century and today covers over 150 acres
in Chateauneuf du Pape, Cotes du Rhone and
Vin de Pays Vaucluse in the south of France.
Although famous for their red wines, they produce
a delicious Rose every year made from Grenache
and Syrah. It is always a favorite of mine and
I look forward to the new vintage every year since
2008 when I tasted it for the first time.
Pale pink in color, it has an aroma of fresh
strawberries and a rich flavor followed by a
crisp, clean finish. It’s dry, yet the vibrant fruit
gives the impression of just a hint of sweetness.
This is a great wine to serve for light dishes
including shrimp, lobster, pasta, and poultry
dishes. It goes very well with spicy cuisine.
Pere Caboche Rose could very well be the
world’s best value. It’s incredibly priced at $9.
Imported by Monsieur Touton Wines, NYC, NY.
Cheers,
Tony Caristi
