If you are already familiar with Nero d’Avola you will love this
new release of the 2009 vintage Purato. If you are new to the
varietal, here is an opportunity to experience Nero d’Avola in
its purest expression.
Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s most renowned grape variety. The Feudo di Santa Tresa estate has over 100 acres of vineyards located just above the Mediterranean Sea. Here, the very warm days give way to cool nights which provide the perfect conditions for grapes of exceptional quality.
Purato Nero d’Avola is a full bodied, dry red wine. Flavors
of dried cherries and a slightly smoky aroma put this wine
in a class of its own. It is drinking well right now and can
be enjoyed over the next two years.
Truly a fine wine for less at $11.
