FINE WINES FOR LE$$ – FRESCOBALDI REMOLE TOSCANA 2008

Marchesi de Frescobaldi currently owns the largest area
of vineyards in Tuscany, Italy with over 2900 acres shared
by five estates. They have been making fine wine for over
700 years.

Their “every day” red is Remole, pronounced reh-moe-leh.
It’s a blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
harvested from vineyards in central Tuscany.

Remole has lots of rich, ripe fruit, with flavors of black
raspberries and a hint of spice in the aroma. A long,
and elegant dry finish makes the wine complete in every
way. It’s a pleasure to drink right now and I recommend
opening the bottle at least 2 hours before serving.

It’s a perfect pairing with grilled red meats, risotto and
provolone cheese, and a great value at $12.

Imported by Folio Fine Wine Partners, Napa, California.

Cheers !!
