Nahe “Two Princes” 2008 Riesling

As I was reviewing my notes on Germany for my exam next week, I came across my tasting notes on the 6 German wines we tried one cool evening in March… I put an extra note next to this wine because it really showed exceptionally well! I guessed the price was in the high category at around $22, and I thought that would be a fair price to pay for this wine, but I was extremely pleased to see that it was only $14 retail!

The “Two Princes” is off dry, perfectly balanced, with citrus, mineral, and stone fruit components. The acidity is well integrated, keeping it crisp and refreshing, while still showing a hint of sweetness. This wine is perfect as an apertif, as summer is quickly approaching I am seriously considering picking up a case to hold me over.
